Frequently asked questions

When can I rent a motorboat in Szczecin?
The charter season in Szczecin runs from May to September. Availability is confirmed by our partner Newport — get in touch to book a date.
How much does a motorboat charter in Szczecin cost?
Full-day charter (8h): 1600 PLN, half-day (4h): 1400 PLN, skippered cruise “Szczecin on water” (4–8h): from 1900 PLN, two-day charter: 2800 PLN. Refundable deposit: 6000 PLN, booking deposit 300 PLN (transfer or BLIK). Prices exclude fuel.
What can I see on a boat trip in Szczecin?
From the water you can admire the Wały Chrobrego promenade, Łasztownia island, Mała Wenecja, and the city's new waterfront developments. Szczecin has a rich maritime history that is largely invisible from land — even locals are often struck by the scale of the port infrastructure and the ocean-going ships you normally only see from a distance. Lake Dąbie and the Szczecin Lagoon offer open-water sailing, while the Oder and its tributaries wind through quiet, green stretches of wild nature.
Do I need a licence to rent a motorboat in Szczecin?
Yes — a motorboat licence is required, or you can hire with a skipper.
How do I book a charter in Szczecin?
Szczecin charters are run by our partner Newport. Call +48 886 310 482, email czarter@newport.pl, or visit czarter.newport.pl. We are working on improvements that will allow a more flexible booking process.
What charters are available in Szczecin?
There are four options: a full-day charter (8h), a half-day charter (4h), a skippered “Szczecin on water” cruise (4–8h — Szczecin bridges, Łasztownia, the Szczecin Lagoon), and a two-day charter with an overnight stay ashore. Contact us or our partner Newport to choose the best option.
Can I hire the boat for a sunset cruise in Szczecin?
We do not currently offer dedicated sunset cruises in Szczecin, but we are considering adding this option in the future. Contact us if you are interested.
Can I hire the boat for a longer trip?
Yes, that is possible — contact us to discuss the details and availability.
Can I sail out onto the Szczecin Lagoon?
Yes, it can be a fantastic trip! We even have a write-up from a route between Dziwnów and Betonowiec on Lake Dąbie. Contact us and we will help you plan it. The Lagoon is a large body of water, so weather conditions and fuel availability need to be considered — there are several stations around it (Trzebież, Dąbie, Stepnica, Świnoujście, Dziwnów), and a stop at one may be necessary on a longer voyage.
How much fuel does the Bayliner M19 use?
The Bayliner M19 with its 115 hp engine is a surprisingly economical boat. A lot depends on cruising speed, crew size and weather. At an economical pace (~30 km/h on plane) fuel consumption is around 2.5–3 km per litre. At full throttle it rises to roughly 1–1.5 km per litre. The tank holds 75 litres, so there is plenty for a good day out. With several fuel stations available — Trzebież, Dąbie, Stepnica, Świnoujście, Dziwnów — refuelling on longer trips is straightforward. We can also arrange extra jerry cans just in case.
Is navigating the Oder, Lake Dąbie or the Lagoon difficult?
The boat is equipped with a dedicated chartplotter — a touchscreen computer displaying all essential information about engine status, fuel level and navigation. The plotter has up-to-date charts showing all markers and the fairway route, so avoiding shallows or other hazards such as fishing nets is straightforward. The echo sounder also provides real-time depth readings.
