The Bayliner M19 is one of our favourite boats on Lake Zegrze — and for good reason. This compact motorboat has a way of surprising even experienced boaters with its versatility and the sheer confidence it inspires on the water.
Start with what's immediately obvious: space. The Bayliner M19's distinctive M-shaped hull creates an unusually wide, stable platform that comfortably fits up to 8 people. Planes in Seconds — Control from the Start
But the Bayliner M19 is far from a floating lounger. The 115 HP engine gets the boat onto plane in just a few seconds, and the moment it does, you feel it: total control. The boat stays flat and composed through turns — it doesn't lean the way many comparable boats do. That's the M-shaped hull doing exactly what it was designed to do. The engine is also genuinely economical — a few hours of fun on the water won't break the bank.
At higher speeds, the Bayliner M19 reveals another surprise: you can almost surf other boats' wakes. The M-hull glides across wave faces rather than punching through them, keeping the boat tracking true and delivering a sensation that feels more like surfing than powerboating.
One characteristic worth knowing: on short wave, choppy water, the Bayliner M19 bounces rather than rolls. For anyone used to the slow sway of a sailboat, this takes some getting used to. But for those prone to seasickness, the absence of rolling can actually be a real advantage — and the firmer, sportier feel is something most first-timers find exhilarating.
